CAM and Sanz Foundations in Burkina Faso.

The Valencian Savings bank CAM and the Sanz Foundation have launched a joint project aimed at female agricultural workers in Burkina Faso, Central Africa.

The project will enable 240 women and their families to carry out sustainable farming on their own land, including the construction of a well.

The Project Hill take place at Bobo-dioulaso, capital of the province of Houet, and will provide the necessary tools for the cultivation of staple crops such as carrots, potatoes, lettuce, corn and rice, permitting the commercialisation of excesses.

In investment in the project is 260,000 euros, and will enable a team of engineers, farmers and trainers to develop their lands with modern, ecological techniques, as well as literacy and management skills.

These contributions will permit the families to survive the seasonal droughts that affect the area.
