Sealed and Delivered
Many of us would probably be a bit nervous
if faced with the task of transporting a 77 million year old dinosaur over
2,500 kilometres; even if it was
dead. Bill Armstrong however is not the kind of man to shrug his shoulders and mutter “hmm, that’s a bit difficult”; Bill just puts his nose to the grindstone, his shoulder to the wheel and calls upon Sealed Air, the American company of which he is technical director.
Bill will be in Valencia from 26th
to 28th of October at the European Packaging Symposium to explain
the details (the dinosaur, who is apparently called ‘Leonard’ unfortunately
will not be there; he was safely delivered to NASA in Houston and spent all the
journey annoying Bill by asking “are we there yet?”)
The congress is being organised by ITENE
and the Safe Transit Association and will be attended by such companies and organisations
as Procter & Gamble, DTI, Smurfit Kappa, Hewlett Packard, TETRA PAK, Sealed
Air, PIRA, Sources at Sealed Air assure us that neither Leonard nor any other animal was unharmed during the making of the journey, mainly because he is a fossil.
